This is an installation I produced in conjunction with the VP of Creative, Dan Kuenster, at IStation. I had created these graphic elements in Cinema 4d and Photoshop for animation in one of the company products. Dan thought they would work well to grab people’s attention as they ascended the stairs. First I shot each wall for layout. Then reproduced the images at real size, 150 dpi. I then needed to show the installer exactly how to lay out the design, so I created a graph system at 1 foot increments for him to use as he placed each piece. To create a sense of depth, I chose which images would be attached to the wall directly and others that would be “pegged” at 2 inches away from the wall. These pictures show the process with a panoramic shot at the end showing the final result.
